about

NOTE: The talking bits are from a used spool of wire I found at a flea market. I think it dates from the Korean War era, when a NE Ohio family sat down at a kitchen table to play cards on a Saturday night... and Pop pushed “record”. Neighbors stroll in to play a few hands, a serviceman son home on leave describes his un-MASH-like tour of duty, kids sing hymns and C & W songs, and everyone tries to get the baby to say “ma-ma” into the mic. It’s fascinating ‘found sound’, and if anyone wants to hear the whole thing, send me a request by email (beezwax2@aol.com) and i'll get you a copy. Also, WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? Any leads would be appreciated.
